Bonhams Urban Art Auction: Results are In

"Kate" by Banksy - Sold for over £80,000

It has been quite a while since we originally told you about the Bonhams Urban Art Auction, but today it finally happened- and some of the results are staggering. Highlights include stellar performances by Nick Walker, Space Invader, D*Face, Blek Le Rat and (of course) Banksy himself. That's not to say other artists performed poorly however; very few of the auctions sold for less than their high estimated price. For a full list of results click here.

"The Hand Project" by Jason Polan at 20x200

A Unique Example of the Edition-of-200

Today's 20x200 release by Jason Polan is a very special one indeed; as with every week the piece comes in three editions at three prices (cheapest being $20), only today every single print is unique. The "edition" of 200, priced at just $20, is a completely individual photocopy of a hand; no two are the same, you are essentially buying an original piece. The edition of 20 ($200) is completely different; rather than a photocopy, you are buying an original sketch of a hand- and as for the $2000 edition of 2, I think it's best if I let 20x200 do the talking.

Two New Prints by Killingstar

The successors to Killingstars sell-out "Deux Ex Machina" piece have today been unveiled by NowHere Limited and are set to be released this coming Friday at 3pm PST. The first, entitled "Home Again", is a 12"x12" fine art giclee- signed, numbered, in an edition of 40 and priced at a very reasonable $30 (see above). The second piece, which can be seen below, is called "CaringStar" and comes in a tiny edition of just 10 and is priced at a slightly more expensive $100. Check out NowHere Limited.

Cleon Peterson at Obey

At some point in the near future a $50 Untitled guest print by Cleon Peterson is set to be sold via the Obey Giant site. The piece, which can be seen above, is likely to be released later on today at 8pm GMT / Noon PST (though don't take my word for it- the site could still doing random releases). With only 38 of the 100 in the edition for sale on the OG site the chances are it won't be in stock for very long, it may be a good idea to order from this link to avoid disappointment. Tiger Shark by Bruce Horan

The peculiar yet magnificent creation you see above (suitably entitled "Tiger Shark" and by none other than Bruce Horan) is available to buy right now for the low (very low) price of $15 (+P&P). The edition size is just 30 and word is there's about 10 left, so if you want one send an e-mail to Bruce before it's too late.

Eelus Website: New Originals, New Print

After being down for quite a while the official homepage of Eelus is back with some new items for sale. Available to buy now are three canvases ("Sinner", "Tiffany for Breakfast" and "Cheeky Cherub" priced at £800, £900 and £800 respectively- each an edition of 10) and a £70 edition-of-200 print entitled "Deer-E-Me" (see above). The site also has infomation on past prints, upcoming pieces, shows and more- check it out.

POW is Back: New Prints by Aiko, Titifreak and Vaucher

At approximately 12:15pm GMT the Pictures On Walls site made its anticipated return, bringing with it some new prints from Aiko, Titifreak and Gee Vaucher. The "Vandalismo" series by Aiko, consisting of various colourways and a special edition, were priced starting at £225 and on the whole sold out quite quickly (which is unsurprising considering the low editions). Check them out here.

The new Titifreak piece, which can be seen above, is entitled "Esperando (Waiting)" and is priced at £250. Edition size is 200 and you can buy it right here. Unnanounced on the homepage but still fresh is a semi-new piece by Gee Vaucher; a reworking of the previous"Liberty" print entitled "Give Us Justice". "Love Birds" by Copyright

Opus Underground have released a brand new print by Copyright: the valentines-day themed "Love Birds", seen above, is a three colour metallic screen print from a low edition of 50. Each 23.4" x 16.5" piece comes signed, numbered and priced at £75. Buy it here.

Pictures On Walls to Open Today

The most famous printhouse of all is set to reopen its doors today (4th February) after a short "Cleaning" break. Nobody knows what time it will open, nobody knows what new pieces may (or may not) be up; but be sure to keep your eyes on POW site. More information coming soon (hopefully).

Nick Walker at the Carmichael Gallery

Today marks the start of Nick Walker's Hollywood exhibition at the Carmichael Gallery of Contemporary art. On display will be a whole range of pieces from his "Vandal" series as well as the recent (and very popular) "Morning After" line of work; definitely a show to check out if you're in the area. 50 copies of the Hollywood Morning After print (see above) will be available to buy to attendees of the show with 100 more coming to the Black Rat Press at an unconfirmed date.
