Next Wednesday (Janurary 30th) Shepard Fairey of Obey Giant fame is set to release his latest screenprint- as with the "Vote" piece which came out last week, the print is larger than usual at 24" x 36" with prices coming in at $50. Edition size is 350 and, as usual, the piece is bound to sell out pretty quickly. The time in which the print will drop is unknown to prevent the site from being flooded. From the ObeyGiant site...

I believe with great conviction that Barack Obama should be the next President. I have been paying close attention to him since the Democratic convention in 2004. I feel that he is more a statesman than a politician. He was against the war when it was an unpopular position (and Hillary was for the war at that time), Obama is for energy and environmental conservation. He is for healthcare reform. Check him out for yourself www.barackobama.com. Proceeds from this print go to produce prints for a large statewide poster campaign.
Thanks.
-Shepard

Anyone interested in helping out please email info[at sign here]obeygiant.com with OBAMA as the Subject Title for instructions. This screenprint is 24 X 36, edition of 350. Available next Wednesday, January 30th.

When Wednesday comes keep your eye on this page for the best chance of success.

Shepard Fairey Peace Bomber to be Released...

... at some point in the next 7 hours. Stats are same as before, three colorways at $35 each with no idea of edition size. Unfortunately there is no set time, you will have to be at the right place at the right time to get this (and apparently the next few releases). The prints should have been released on Tuesday but unfortunately the sale fell through for reasons unexplained (though it probably had something to do with the intense traffic on the site). In frustration some tried to use "backdoor" methods to purchase the print- all that ordered this way will, or so the statement says, be refunded and banned from purchasing the Peace Bomber print(s). Peace Bomber will pop up on this page, watch it carefully.

Official Obey statement:
OBEYGIANT.com would like to address any misunderstandings that may surface regarding the most recent print release of the PEACE BOMBER image. Evidently, sometime yesterday an individual/individuals aquired and circulated a link that allowed people to purchase the Peace Bomber print without it actually being released on our website. We find this act inexcusable. In every fan's interest we have created a process to purchase prints that allows everyone an equal opportunity to obtain a print fairly. Circumventing the process and utilizing a "back door" access to our inventory is completely unacceptable. For all those who participated and purchased a print yesterday, your orders will be refunded immediately. In addition, we have made the decision not to offer the Peace Bomber print to those individuals when the print is re-released. We know many of you have endured the process and made the choice not to purchase the print in this manner... We would like to allow those TRUE fans the opportunity at a fair chance at obtaining the print. We understand that our purchasing system does not function perfectly and we have been in the process of trying to solve the problem in the most efficient and painless way possible. Changes are being implemented and we hope to have everything functioning smoothly in the very near future. In the meantime, we THANK those of you that have been patient and understanding with this process.

If you have any questions or grievances please feel free to email orders@obeygiant.com but, please, understand that our decisions are final and no exceptions will be made in any case.

The Peace Bomber print will be re-released on Thursday, at a random time between the hours 10am - 6pm. For future releases, new prints will be released at random times throughout the week until all purchasing system problems have been resolved.
- OBEY

Cornelia O'Donovan at TinyShowcase

Tonight's specially selected TinyShowcase artist is none other than Cornelia O'Donovan.
