Pure Evil at the Urban Uprising Gallery

Starting on Wednesday the 3rd of December at the Urban Uprising Gallery (Sydney) is 'A Pure Evil Christmas', an exhibition featuring new work by artist Pure Evil.
After moving to California to escape the Poll Tax Riots of London in 1990, Pure Evil became inspired by skateboard culture and graffiti art, and spent 10 years making electronic music, printing t-shirts, and ‘thinking about stuff’. Upon returning to London he picked up a spray can and the vampire bunnies were born. When asked about his tendency to explore the darker side of utopia and the myth of the Apocalypse, Pure Evil says it’s illuminating to know he is a descendent of Sir Thomas More, the Lord Chancellor who wrote the controversial work, Utopia, and was later beheaded by King Henry VIII.
