Running from the 14th of November until the 31st of January at the Lazarides Gallery Newcastle is 'Home is Where the Telly is', the debut solo show from Candice Tripp. From the Laz website...

Lazarides Gallery is pleased to present Home is Where the Telly Is, a new series of work by Candice Tripp in her first solo show at Lazarides.

South African born Tripp has created a new body of work that deals with the unsettling images of the unexpected, presented in carefully executed ink and paint. Small girls in candy coloured dresses encounter strange beasts, and yet not all is quite as it seems, as we are led into a world where dainty and dark collide.

To be released in conjunction with the show are two new prints: 'Do You Think Your Mom Will Notice?', seen above, comes in an edition of 45 pieces priced at £150+VAT each, with every piece having the "Do you think..." lettering applied by hand. The second release, Still Rocking' (seen below), is a giclee edition of just 25 pieces priced at £175+VAT each.
